Nordic Impact Ventures was founded in 2014 by Søren Hedegaard. It all began with his first venture, Boligsurf. Today, we're involved in three main types of investments.

Looking for Capital for Your Idea?

Nordic Impact Ventures invests in early-stage startups building concrete solutions within climate, environment, nature, the circular economy and sustainability.

We look for ambitious founders and small teams at an early stage who need capital to test, build, launch or scale their solution. We typically invest up to DKK 200,000 per startup, usually through a convertible loan.

We are especially interested in startups that:

  • Tackle real environmental or climate problems with concrete solutions
  • Advance the circular economy — reuse, upcycling and resource savings
  • Protect or restore nature, biodiversity and ecosystems
  • Cut CO₂ emissions or promote renewable energy
  • Develop, test or demonstrate new green technologies, products or methods
  • Build practical, physical or technical solutions — not just software
  • Need capital to move from idea to prototype, pilot, first customers or the next phase

We prioritise action-oriented startups where relatively limited capital can make a real difference — very early companies, strong founder teams, or projects on their way to becoming companies.

Examples of areas we would like to invest in:

  • Nature restoration, biodiversity and ecosystem solutions
  • Energy savings, solar, storage and renewable energy solutions
  • Reuse, upcycling, waste reduction and circular material flows
  • Equipment, hardware, process improvements and practical environmental technologies
  • Pilot projects, prototypes or testing of new green solutions
  • Solutions that protect oceans, water, coastal nature or local ecosystems
  • Industrial solutions that reduce waste, energy or resource use

We especially want to hear from founders passionate about building concrete solutions to the problems the world faces — particularly within environment, climate, nature and sustainability.
